The plot is quite clever

A film story by James Dayton, with Edna Maison in the leading part. She appears as an actress who hires out as a maid in order to get herself locked in jail and have other experiences of the sort. More suspense could have been achieved in many of the scenes, as the plot is quite clever. The photography is good, but the situations were handled too mechanically. - The Moving Picture World, September 26, 1914
