This time his mere arrival mains a bad fall for the painter at Jan Stuckens's plumber utensils firm, next stepping into the elevator is enough to block it for hours. Although that makes him late and his application letter was mainly a coffee blur, he still gets an interview.

Eternally unemployed Alexander, whose only 'diploma' is for swimming, is the worst nightmare of Mr. Staes, the clerk in charge of his massive file, and his colleagues in the employment agency. However the new manager, K. Schoeters, is determined to find a job for the man who lost every single one in a matter of hours, usually after causing a disaster in any business reckless enough to hire him (as shown in a few flash-backs), and yet is pretty rude and touchy towards the agency staff...
2001
Local labor office manager Karel Schoeters bets with passed-over elder colleague Jean Staes he can find a suitable job even for Alexander. Mover, a job offered by Karel's cousin as a family favor, doesn't work out as he's barely fit as wrecker, as the curate's possessions reduced to mush prove painfully. So Karel engages the good-for-nothing as his personal assistant. Alas, this means his state of the art IT system isn't immune for Alexander's destructive nature, a fake fire alert being a mere foretaste of disaster waiting to happen.
