Sex & Nudity

  • Sex references occur throughout the series, mostly within the context of adults' sex lives, affairs and relationship histories. There are occasional references to sexual assault or abuse within court room trials. The main character is shown to have a very active sex life, although instances of sex are usually just implied and kept offscreen.

Violence & Gore

  • Moderate violence and references to violence. Scenes of onscreen violence are infrequent and usually brief. Violent crimes, including murder and assault, are often discussed in court trials throughout the series. There are references to sexual violence and domestic abuse.

Profanity

  • Language is usually infrequent and mild, though in some instances includes stronger discriminatory terms, both quoted in court trials and used within exchanges between characters. Discriminatory attitudes are usually met with challenge and condemned.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • References to drug misuse. There are discussions about hard drugs and addiction within court trials throughout the series. Drug misuse is shown to have clear negative consequences. Characters are shown to drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes, including some moments of drunken behaviour.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Emotionally distressing scenes occur throughout the series, with characters becoming upset during very challenging personal and professional circumstances. Subjects such as grief and loss are explored and include scenes some viewers may find upsetting. There are occasionally moments where characters are are threatened or find themselves in danger.
