The well known theatrical performance of Bourvil
metalca13 May 2006
I have seem this show many years ago on the Belgian national TV network, and seen it again a few months ago on VHS.La bonne planque was actually written as a play but became so popular in Belgium that the performance of Bourvil and Co. on stage was captured by TV cameras and played on national TV and later edited on VHS.This black and white comedy is a must. Funny without being over the top,Bourvil at it's best, live audience brings an "atmosphere" to the play. The plot, full of "quiproquos",and weird situations is a jewel of the french speaking theatrical comedy(the machine gun noise scene is hilarious),the entire show is played in the same apartment living room. I was a little bit worried that this play would have aged and would not compare to what is done nowadays on the comedy scene ,but was i glad to see that even more than forty years later,it stays a "must see".Saddly in 1970 the french culture lost one of it's greatest comedian and actor,Mr.Andre Raimbour also known as Bourvil.
