Roberto (Murilo Benício) is the typical "carioca" (person who is born in the city of Rio de Janeiro): he loves soccer, beach and meeting his friends for a beer. He loves also his girlfriend Laura (Letícia Sabatella), but she feels neglected because of his great interest mainly in soccer. She breaks their engagement, and Roberto has a chance to meet her again in a ballet, scheduled in the same hour of the final game between Flamengo (the best and most popular Brazilian team) and Vasco (the greatest opponent), in the decision of the national championship. Roberto decides to go to the opera with a radio, where very funny situations happen, with a surprising end.
I loved "Decision", a typical "carioca" romance. First, it was amazing to see the identification I have with the character of Roberto, who looks like me when I was younger and single, and I did (and still do) the same Roberto does in the movie to listen to a Flamengo's soccer game. The story is delightful and very funny, with Murilo Benício in the beginning of his successful career and Letícia Sabatella extremely beautiful. If a foreigner wants to understand a little about the irreverence of people of Rio de Janeiro, do not miss this short film. It will certainly be very worthwhile 18 minutes of his or her life. My vote is nine.
