Good drama. The theme is of a girl's power of speech lost through fright restored when under great excitement and anguish. Jane Gail plays the role of the older girl and plays it charmingly. The scene of the struggle between the burglars and the lover who has come to the rescue might have been shortened a bit to advantage. There is quite a lot of knife. The direction of the picture is finished, craftsmanlike. - The Moving Picture World, May 24, 1913
