Fun with funerals....

"Chaos and Cadavers" brings life to what traditionally has been mostly dead ground for comedy. The idea of having a newlywed couple spending their honeymoon at a hotel booked solid with a mortician's convention is inspired. The film comes across as a combination of Woody Allen-type frantic situational humor, and Paul Bartel-type black comedy. "Chaos and Cadavers" should rightfully take it's place on the very short list of enjoyable films that use death and the funeral industry for laughs. "Mortuary Academy", "Drop Dead Sexy", "The Undertaker's Wedding", "Just Buried", and "Undertaking Betty" immediately come to mind. I recommend seeking out "Chaos and Cadavers". - MERK

I laughed and loved it from beginning to end

"Chaos and Cadavers" is the funniest film I've seen, and I've seen many in my 79 years. It has perfect and remarkable casting from the wondrous sympathetic leads down to the smallest weirdos as extras. It's a delightful balance between a touching love story and the spooky, hilarious things that happen to the romantic leads when their private honeymoon castle in invaded by an undertaker's convention. The husband, whose fear of death is flawlessly portrayed by rising British star, Nick Moran, becomes involved in a mysterious murder among some conniving undertakers. His innocent, yet alluring, wife, played by Keeley Hawes, made this viewer admire her and desire her! Beautifully directed by first time director-writer Niklaus Hilber, he and co-writer DrewBird have created a script that is both intelligent and believable against atrocious and outlandishly gruesome story twists and turns. The unobtrusive cinematography adds to the believability, while the charming score balances the film's romantic, humorous, and terrifying elements. This movie deserves a big audience! Find it, see it, and laugh yourself silly!
