Fascinating short directed by Faith Hubley about life's interconnectedness

Warning: Spoilers
This is a short produced by Faith Hubley for the Hubley Studio. There will be spoilers ahead:

This short is based on the poetry of Indian poet Kabir, which forms the narration of the short. Through a series of often incongruous events, the connections between life in various forms, including humans.

The poetry has a rhythm to it and the animation is tied to the images conjured by the poems. There are several references to death throughout and some bizarre concepts, such as an elephant being tied to the leg of an ant and largely becoming immobile as a result and references to corpses and Death.

It's an interesting short and a very good job is done to match the images drawn by the animators and the narration/poetry. It's typical of the style used by Hubley Studios at this point.

This short can be found on The Hubley Collection Volume 1 and is well worth tracking down. Recommended.
