London, Oct 6: British TV presenters and fashion designers Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine of the TV series "What Not to Wear" fame take a critical look at Indian women wardrobe and suggest what to avoid.
They will be seen talking about the Indian wardrobe on their new show "Trinny & Susannah's Makeover Mission India", reports vogue.in.
Here's their five-point checklist of wardrobe mistakes to ward off:
-Sticking to a pallid palette in work wear:
"Don't just do black with white. Especially when you're wearing a modern western dress," advises Constantine.
"You have such a great heritage of colours, introduce more of them into your work wardrobe," they both implore. And play with tonal.

Doctor Who wouldn’t be where it is today without the Daleks. Despite looking a tiny bit ridiculous, they still managed to be increibly competent villains and, at times, pretty unnerving. They’re an integral part of the mythos and the fiftieth year of Doctor Who wouldn’t be complete without celebrating them. At last. We’ve been waiting our entire lives for someone to make this fashion trend happen. We should have guessed it would be Kim Kardashian who finally pulled it off. While filming for the upcoming season of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Kardashian accessorized her white one-piece with a golden belt like she wasn’t even revolutionizing fashion as we know it (which she was). Think about it: what outfit doesn’t look better with a belt? That’s right: none of them. Plus, swimsuits are the hardest of article of clothing to wear. Isn’t it better to have the option to cinch in your waist? Oh man, someone has to tell What Not To Wear‘s Stacey and Clinton about this. This is going to change everything. For the better.

It's Pia Sundhage's last game with the Us Women's Team today. Espnw has a great piece on her leaving, with players like Alex Morgan and Abby Wambach praising her style. Pia talked about being a Gold-medal winning coach but still having a gender barrier in the game.
If I go into a locker room where it's only women's soccer, I have the status. If I go into a locker room with men, I don't have the same status.

Who puts a short curvy woman in a boxy blazer and takes away her pants? What Not To Wear‘s Stacy and Clinton must be spinning in their graves. Er…in their accessory closets right now! Kim Kardashian stepped out today to visit Jacob the Jeweler in New York while wearing what appears an old blazer Kanye received as a hand-me-down from his great-granduncle. When his grand-granduncle died. On his yacht. We were so aghast when we saw it, it took us a moment to notice that Kim is awkwardly holding the blazer closed. We shudder to think which of Kim’s outfits Kanye threw away to make room for this number. We’re assuming she does too.
The only good part of Kim’s look is that it reminded us of Kanye’s verse on Nicki Minaj‘s song “Blazin,” which is what we’re going to call “Kanye...

“That’s a dog bag, no?” Is there any more painful sentence to hear when your boyfriend and his stylist take it upon themselves to give you a wardrobe makeover? Probably not, but Kim Kardashian takes it like a champ as Kanye and stylist Renelou Pardora purge her closet on last night’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Well, almost. “I’m literally crying,” Kim warns. Not that parts of Kanye’s What Not To Wear rampage aren’t adorable: “I like natural looking. Because I grew up on ’80s magazines… You look amazing,” Kanye promises when Kim tries to hike up her boob up to her collarbone. “Well, I don’t!,” she reports. Fashion Lol! At least Kanye didn’t literally throw Kim’s clothes into a garbage can. In fact, as Kim tweeted today, “The clothes I got rid of on tonight’s episode will be...

There is a long tradition in storytelling of remakes, retellings, or in other ways copying someone else’s idea. Television is no exception. This fall season, two new British imports are on the way, Prime Suspect and The X Factor, and several of the most popular returning series originated across the pond as well. America has been remaking British television for decades, to varied success. A good idea is a good idea, regardless of its zip code, but the differences between British and American audiences can often make the process a difficult one. Dramas and reality programs have different sensibilities than in America, and British humor is particularly tricky to translate.
The TV model in the UK is considerably different than in the Us. Seasons usually last at most 13 episodes, and some have fewer than 6. Series may have two seasons in a year, or two seasons in 10 years. There are...

Whether receiving advice from What Not To Wear or watching paid advertisements from the Belt Growers Association of America, we all know by now that the best way to wrangle a dumpy-looking outfit is to belt that sucker. Or the case of these Nicole Scherzinger photos, construct an entire dress out of belts…that sucker. While working the red carpet at Chateau Nightclub and Gardens at Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the former Pussycat Doll doll looks more than a little like Hot Topic Barbie, but at least she’s about 15 minutes and a lot of increasingly furious fumbling away from an accidental wardrobe malfunction.

Cheryl Burke and Jenny McCarthy share an assistant. And as we learned on 'What Not to Wear' (Tue., 9Pm Et on TLC), they also share a frustration with her fashion choices. Meet 37-year old Chicago native Becky.
Tricked into getting the makeover on the show, Becky proves game for the transformation, and the results speak for themselves. She looked fabulous in a shapely dress and absolutely floored her friends and supporters.
"The clothes were one thing," McCarthy said. "But the confidence that you saw come through just made me so happy."
McCarthy had already admitted that she thought of Becky as family, so it must have been so warm to see someone so close to you get a new and more positive outlook on life. Sometimes a physical makeover can transform your self-perception as well.

Tonight, Jason Momoa is on "Conan." I don't actually have any comments about that, I just figured I'd lead off with it because apparently Mr.Momoa is how you generate page views round these parts lately. Also the season finale of "Masterchef" which a lot of you apparently feel very strongly about and a few of those shows that revolve around auctions or pawn shops. I find it interesting that the American 'get rich quick' scheme seems to change every few years. Forever ago it was internet start ups, then more recently flipping houses, now it seems to be finding valuables in discarded or otherwise seemingly worthless junk. I'm sure that if I were a sociologist I'd find something significant there but I'm not. Y'all are free to discuss at will though. Here's your Tuesday night TV:
8:00pm: "Cupcake Wars" on Food Network
"It's Worth What?" on NBC.
"Masterchef" on Fox.

Saturday evening television programming is rather dismal, for the most part, but one gem stood out this past evening: Animal Planet’s superbly titled one-hour special Help! I’m Becoming a Cat Lady! How could you not tune in to something like that? While veiwing this special (which I’m told, if successful, will be spun into a series), I found myself cackling away as two experts — psychologist, life coach, and dating expert Alyson and beauty and fashion guru Anthony — helped the tragic and still relatively young Gina, who, without intervention, was headed toward total Cat Lady-dom. (Gina has two cats: Blue and Trinket.

Lifetime may be gearing up for another season of Project Runway, as well as Project Accessories in the pipeline for a debut sometime in the very near future, but that doesn't mean that it's completely out of the fashion game. Quite the opposite, as Wwd is reporting that former MTV personality Alexa Chung has been tapped to host a show called 24-Hour Catwalk for the network. You may remember Chung from her short stint on the talk show It's On with Alexa Chung, which aired on MTV in late 2009, as well as for her considerable on-camera experience across the pond.
