Based on the true story that really happened in real life
zzmale31 March 2004
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: The fatal cry for innocence.

This movie is an advocate of the urgently needed reform in the Chinese legal system. The story actually is based on many similar incidents in real life and combined into one for making the points together. In addition to TV reporters, others who worked in journalism also participated, such as newspaper reporters and magazine editors. Of course, not every single victim had the tragic fate of death like the one in the movie, but there were murders.

The important message hidden in this movie is that improvement cannot be resulted from economical reform alone, legal reform is also needed for development and improvement.
