a different point of view
darksorcerer19 October 2009
This documentary DVD offers other points of view on god and the creation of life rather then the stock standard Bible and other holy books have offered. People may look and ridicule such ideas and beliefs, though take a step back and see if through another persons eyes your own beliefs do not look strange and fantastic. The documentary goes into the Raelians, the Urantia movement, the Aetherius society and a snapshot at historical UFO encounters long forgotten that are viewable if you look for them, noting the Nazca plains being messages to the gods. It also dabs a little into the Heavens gate cult and other such cult movement. The main point to the DVD is too put forth the idea that Aliens not as we all know them or that are portrayed in film have had a hand in the creation of man in its own image and that through documents such as the bible these claims can be verified. That there may or may not be a spiritual realm that we are a part of and may or may not go there depending on our deeds.

Overall its not a bad DVD. It offers an alternative look at the Big Question.

Watch it for yourself and make up your own mind.

not really worth watching,in my opinion

to me,this documentary is not really that good.first of all,it just didn't have a professional look to it.a lot of the people they interviewed really just gave their opinion on things, but there were no real facts.plus, some of the people didn't really have great credentials either.there was definitely a theme of sensationalism running through the program.i also didn't find it compelling.in fact, much of it is downright boring.not the best documentary i have seen on this subject,or any subject for that matter.overall,i just felt it was poorly done.the back of the DVD box claims this is a groundbreaking documentary, among other things.but it isn't really.i certainly wouldn't recommend it to others.for me,Alien Gods is a 3/10

This film is great!!!

Finally someone has explored the subject of aliens creating humans and being our "gods." It covers the Raelians, a group that has been very difficult to get any information about. I wish more people would cover these subjects. The doc seems unbiased - not leaning to any conclusion - just presents people's beliefs and whatever evidence is out there. I really enjoyed it.

Alien Gods starts with the examination of ancient artifacts and religious manuscripts for some sign of evidence that can prove alien intervention. In addition, Alien Gods explores the religious cults that firmly believe this theory. Within the this documentary is an intimate interview with "Rael," the leader of the Raelian Movement, who has recently claimed the creation of the first human clone. Rael discusses his beliefs on cloning and speaks of how he visited an alien planet with the Elohim, who he believes are the creators of all life on Earth.

There are four UFO religious groups interviewed, that all make such claims that Jesus, and Moses were alien beings. Rael even goes as far in claiming that Jesus is alive through cloning.

All and all this is a very informative piece on UFO cults and the Ancient Astronauts Theory. Audience will be sure to be amazed by the beliefs of these groups, and some of the evidence that supports their claims.
