The movie is pretty bad, but it does feature the highly talented and enigmatic star Cynthia Morani. Just the chance to see her for a few minutes on screen makes purchasing this movie a must do.

The depth and intensity she brought to the part of Chad's mom rivals some of Meryl' Streep's best work. Unfortunately, she's unable to save an otherwise bland romantic comedy.

The script needed a lot more work and some of the framing of the shots was amateurish.

Realistically, though the only thing that could have saved this movie would have been I'd the director could have somehow convinced Ms. Morani to have taken on one of the lead roles...I guess their budget wouldn't permit it.

The first half of the movie was alright. It was kind of cute and quirky. But then I think they just lost direction and weren't sure how to wrap up the movie because it just got worse and worse. Some of the plot points weren't ever explained and seemed wildly unrealistic or confusing. The characters were unlikeable and absurd. The flow seemed very jumpy, possibly attributed to a poor editing job. There were way too many viewer assumptions and leaps of logic that were necessary to even make the plot coherent. The producers mentioned it took them five years to complete, maybe they just got tired of trying to make a good film. It really was a waste of time.

I am a huge Krista Allen fan, and I recently bought this on DVD from the UK after reading a good review of it on this site. After getting it, my wife and I watched it together, and I have to say that both of us thought it was really bad. The acting was poor, the writing was bad, and the whole experience was a waste of time. The only thing that was good in this movie was that Krista Allen was hot (although her accent didn't seem very Italian). I think I would have been much happier downloading some screen shots of Krista, and skipping the terrible experience of watching a movie that should on be shown on Cinemax late night or USA up all night.

What a bad movie!

I'd rather watch paint dry than this movie. It is a comedy that never should have been made...for the simple reason that it isn't even remotely funny. The dialog is amateur. The characters dull, uninteresting, and the type of people you wouldn't want to spend ten seconds with. I can only suspect that the previously positive posted review of this film was posted by the film's producer or director!!! No one with any degree of intelligence would find anything to be amused by in this train wreck of a film. Save yourself the rental fee, and the experience of a 100 minute comedy without a laugh or even a gentle smile in it. Everyone involved with this embarrassment should be prevented from making other films. I purchased the movie used from a local rental shop, and it obviously won't be missed from their rental rack. The movie's stars (Christopher Barnes, Brad Rowe, Kristin Richardson and Burt Young) all look embarrassed and bored.

I was out at the Newport Beach Film Festival last week and had the chance to see Shut Up and Kiss Me as well as meet some of the cast and crew. I thought it was a very cute movie! It proves that true friendship can overcome any obstacle and that love conquers all. It was a pleasure to watch a fun-filled movie in a time when there's so much happening in the world. The 2 main characters, Ryan(Chris Barnes) and Pete(Brad Rowe) are best friends and are total opposites, but they don't let that affect their friendship. They each meet the girls of their dreams, one a friendly tour guide(Kristin Richardson) and the other a stuck up mob princess (Krista Allen). They go on missions to make these girls theirs forever. There's alot of action involved and alot of sex scenes that will be sure to catch your eye. The music rocked!!! It was cool to see Burt Young in a part that was so perfect for him. The pace of the film moved very quick, I wasn't bored, even for a second. I'd definitely go see it again when it's officially out in theaters.

First off I guess this is a comedy. Which is odd because it is not funny at all. The writing is unoriginal and boring. The Chars are nothing new and their AWFULLL ,AWFULL acting made me sick. I can't believe people gave it a 10, Must be family of the makers of this train wreck of a movie. Anyone who enjoyed this knows nothing about film. This is just another crap movie in a pile of crap that is this genre of movies. There is nothing romantic or funny here at all The fake mob chars are enough to make you sick.

Shut up and Kiss has to be the worst title I have ever heard next to Snakes on a Plane. I wish could have my time back from this mess, There is nothing clever, witty, funny, or good in this waste of space. ECK!

Shut up and Kiss Me! is a great comedy. It has everything in it: talented actors, very pretty girls, a clever plot, great shots of Miami and Miami Beach and stretched limos. The movie is far better than most big productions from Hollywood. Krista Allen is the true star of the movie. She is not only hot or a 10 but also very funny. Brad Rowe played his role as a beach boy well. Ryan as Christopher Daniel Barnes did a good job as a struggling financial broker who stuck gold twice (meeting his girl and getting a big account). Burth Young (the coach from the Rocky movies) was obviously the most experienced actor playing a "Soprano" from Miami. Shut up and Kiss Me! should do well on the silver screen.

Very few movies are a romantic comedy as well as an action-packed buddy movie. It was shot in and around South Florida and shows us some of the prettiest scenery of any movie I have seen in a while. The gags come one right after the other. But it's the minor characters that steal the show here! Pay close attention to the "Smiley" character (he rarely smiles). This is the writer's first movie and a low-budget independent film at that, but you wouldn't know it from the screen. Between the writing, the directing and the cast of characters (Frank Bonner is in this!!) this movie will have you laughing from start to finish. This really is the sleeper movie of the year!

Like most movies on TV, esp. in the morning, this was just a "filler" to take up space. However, there were NO external reviews on IMDb!! Is any movie that terrible? the movie was kind of silly, teeny bopper stuff that might be appreciated by ditsy pre-teens trapped in a hospital room. The guys were eye candy, alright, but no real acting, dialogue or plot involved. I think that the IMDb guidelines dictating a minimum of 10 lines is cruel and unusual punishment, so I'm filling up the space in my comment with that brilliant observation. Let's see, I still have two more lines to go to meet that silly requirement, and ---now I think my comment can be officially approved by the Poobahs at IMDb. No wonder they don't get the hundreds of comments that they should get on a site like this!!

I caught 'Shut Up & Kiss Me' at the premiere in Washington, D.C. For fans of Young, Quirky, Fast-paced Romantic Comedies-- Fans will LOVE this movie ! It moves Sooo fast, and the characters are believable too; sometimes it feels like it could be reality. I remember Christopher Daniel Barnes from both movie versions of The Brady Brunch-- I'm trying to figure where I know Kristin Richarsdson from-- Anyone Know ?? The film was shot entirely in Miami-- I enjoyed seeing some sites because I've vacationed down there with my family for the last 16 years. Were any others online at the D.C. screening ? Hope release is soon in theaters .

I bought this movie on DVD. I really enjoyed it. I think the leads were great as well as the supporting cast. I love the scenes in the diner because it really shows how guys behave. They are interested in women but also dessert. The two friends from work are awesome and great comic relief. They both cried like true friends during the conclusion of the movie and it was touching. I expect to see great things from them in the future. I grew up in Miami and enjoyed seeing some places where I lived, worked and socialized. It was a nice testament to the fact that it is hard to find love in Miami but nice people but will find each other.

When you watch this film you usually think this is going to follow the typical American comedy. However this film is very interesting and You gotta love how Tiara (Allen) and Pete (Rowe) Spice up the screen every time they try to mate. You ask me The romance in this movie counters the Comedy seen in the Dog chases and the bus chase scenes. Of course I having Seen this before and having already bought it on DVD is going to make the movie very interesting. Of course we cant forget about our other couple Ryan (Barnes) and Jessica (Richardson) whom dealt with their fair share of dating issues as well. So The movie itself has the potential to be the Greatest Romantic Comedy of all the Love stories out there. Given the excellent quartet of stars, the Directing of Gary and the supporting role of Burt as The Resident Mimami Mob Boss. I'd say that this movie is at best Hilliarious and IF I had to take a vote to whether or not to have a sequel written to this. I'd feature the stars as the 4 descendants of Tiara, Pete, Ryan and Jessica with their kids each looking like their respective parents of course since the actors who i'd suggest for those roles would be the same as the ones who played their parents in this film.

Probably 1 of the most most fun movies watches that I've seen on DVD in a long time! The acting is sharp, The scenery beautiful ( South Beach), there is lots of witty comedy & sexiness! Several recognizable faces, but plenty of up-and-coming, mostly younger actors. I'd say it reminds me of 'American Pie', '10 Things I Hate About You', 'Serendipity', & 'Something About Mary' all rolled into one. To me, this is what a movie SHOULD be about... entertaining, lot of laughs-- Just a general feel-good film. Went to 1 Blockbuster that had it rented out ( it was their only copy) but the other store I checked out near my house had 3 DVD's.

I've seen 'Shut Up and Kiss Me' multiple times. It stands the test of time as a fun, quirky, buddy film- That has a keen & poignant look at relationship.And, lots of action & adventure with Burt Young ( Rocky movies) as the Mob Boss. Check it out- You'll be smiling & quoting lines for the rest of the day : )
