Beautiful, cute and extremely underrated show!

Oh my gosh, i have the first season an a VHS tape and i watched it over and over as a kid! I was obsessed with elephants when i was younger so obviously i had to watch it lol. Not exactly complaining that there was a lovely scarecrow and an adorable little pig as well.

I think it's an extremely underrated show. It's so beautiful and has really lovable characters. Visually beautiful too. Such a calm, cute and cosy show with an exciting story. Even s bit scary at times. Could get pretty dark and deep actually. I would totally watch it even as an adult because it has a mature feel to it. If i ever have kids i will definitely show it to them without a doubt!

Excellent animation. Cute, imaginative & musical.

Mumfie is my favourite animated series. Once I stumbled upon it, I was completely hooked. The characters are adorable and quirky. They include Pinkey, a flying piglet, a live Scarecrow, a magical Black Cat & a Whale who takes passengers. Mumfie is a special little elephant whose adventurous & kindly nature unites them all, as they try to save the island where Pinkey lives. It's been taken over by the Queen of Night's evil secretary. Each episode features a memorable song & ends on a cliffhanger. I love the unique brand of humour & the story is never predictable. It was followed by a Christmas Special - Mumfie's White Christmas & a collection of shorts. These were cute, but featured no new songs, regrettably. The original was best. The animation was charming throughout. It can be enjoyed by all ages. What a shame it never got the recognition it deserved. A real gem if you can find it. A+++

Very underrated
ckdesign2 September 2004
I saw only one episode of this show , actually I'm not sure if

it was a movie or a long episode , however it was very good.

It had a very good plot and pretty good characters, i am

actually surprised that it is so underrated. Mumfie, is an elephant

that wants to go on an adventure , on his way he meets several

new Friends and Brings them along. the environments in this

Show are very well done and the Hero's and villains are well fitted

into the story, the conclusion is Good aswell. I only Wish that i had

seen more episodes of this show before it was cancelled It Must

have had a very limited release, but if you ever come across it its a

very worthwhile look for viewers of all ages

A Charming Classic!

Mumfie has got to be one of the best cartoons of my youth, I watched it with my mother when I was a kinder-gardener and I listen to the lovely story of a lonely little elephant who has no family (Persunded) Deceased and decides to venture into the world, his life would change forever as destiny takes it toll on his quest to bring sunshine to those around him.

Moments like Nepolelon relearning confidence and the ability to fly again had me laughing with Joy, and Mumfie getting captured after been tricked by the mysterious two faced black cat into becoming a prisoner by the secretary who was emotionally distraught as he could see no light at this stage, lead to me crying my heart out for him.

It is truly amazing classic, all viewers should see:)

An awesome TV show for kids.

Warning: Spoilers
When I was only a few months old, my brother watched The Captain's Treasure House on Fox Family for Shining Time Station, but he liked the other shows as well. In kindergarten, an ad for the movie appeared on a Cabbage Patch VHS tape we owned, and we watched a few episodes in school. 10 years later, I re-discovered this series on YouTube, and brought the movie on DVD soon after. The series revolves around a elephant who seems around child age named Mumfie, who has no family. He goes on an amazing adventure soon afterwards with his friends Scarecrow and Pinkey, and many other amazing characters as they save an island from eternal darkness in the movie (which was the first thirteen episodes) After this, two more seasons of the show were made with more stories and some new characters. The plots in the episodes are interesting, from weird dreams caused by eating too much food, stuff going missing, exciting parties, Mumfie getting a pet fish, stories taking place underwater, and birthday parties. If you like adventure series, Disney, or cute animation in general, this series is for you.

Britt Allcroft's Magic Adventures of Mumfie

Warning: Spoilers
When I was younger I always wanted to know what happened in the next episode. Basically this elephant named Mumfie originally went out for a walk or something. On the way he meets a nice Scarecrow and they decide to travel together. Then they discover an evil thing threatening the Queen of the valley. They now plan to stop this thing from destroying the valley and taking it over. While doing this they meet many other friends, and also make some enemies. But in the end it was obviously a nice happy end, Mumfie got to go to his beloved home with his best friend the Scarecrow. I hardly remember any of it apart from every ending. "What happens next, we'll have to wait until next time!" Apart from the last one, "What happened next, what do you think?" Okay!
