This movie was not made. There are only two movies regarding this subject; 'The Mountain Meadows Massacre' was made in 1912 and 'September Dawn' was made in 2007. Many other scripts have been put forward, only to be shut down by the Morman Church.

Thorough documentary

Warning: Spoilers
I have this documentary on vhs, it is pretty detailed. It discusses the background on why the people decided to massacre the travelers, how it was done, and the result of it. They felt threatened after being persecuted and loved ones killed in Missouri. The Mormon church prophet Brigham Young told the men in Cedar City to leave the wagon train alone. The massacre was the decision of a few men who commanded the militia to massacre the wagon train, with the help of the Indians, not the decision of the church. But yes those men were members of the Mormon church They were excommunicated because of their actions. John D. Lee the man who made he decision to massacre the people was executed after a legal trial. The massacre truly was a tragedy. I wish this movie was available online. My vcr is dying.

How does this work?

I've been going in circles, really, truly want to watch this movie, "Mountain Meadows Massacre." I can't find a button to watch. There aren't any comments, because we can't see anything on our screen. If it gets really cold where will the bears sleep? Should "bears have an "s"? Oh well, not rating cause I haven't and can't watch it. I really wanted to leave a rating but alas. Not meant to be. I gave it a 1. If ever I'm allowed to watch it, I think I would really like it and I can leave a 10 maybe. I've read a bit about the massacre, it was first introduced to me a week or so ago so haven't really had a lot of time but haven't been able to get it out of my mind. How haunting can this be to those left behind, those on the horses as they charged down on the innocent men, women and children, all for money and greed, then lie about it for over 100 years. Do you suppose those men thought it would never be found out? How cruel and in the name of the church. How sacred can this kind of church be if they follow blindly and it doesn't matter what they are told to do, they just do it.
