- Pikmin can be eaten, burned, electrocuted, smashed, and drowned. There is no blood in any of these, there is a squishing sound, the Pikmin scream, and their spirits float out of their bodies. Pikmins bodies disappear. If an enemy is killed the same will happen, however the bodies do not disappear, instead the player has the option of carrying the dead bodies back to the base to use them to create new Pikmin. Please note that all of the enemies are insects, or some form of insect hybrid. One monster uses a machine gun to kill Pikmin, others use bombs, and some use flamethrowers or poisonous gas to kill the Pikmin. In an unlockable extra, one of the characters will describe how to cook and eat the monsters, this is done for fun.

- The game depicts many monsters and Pikmin being killed, this can be very frighting or sad for children, to see their Pikmin be killed. There are several scary monsters, including a large robot that shoots Pikmin with a machine gun, and several wraith-like creatures which roll around moaning in the dark. These can be potentially very frightening especially for young children. Rocks sometimes fall from the sky, and some monsters pop out of the ground without warning. This can be startling.
