Danish "remake" of Shawshank Redemption
immanuelpet8 February 2005
This wonderful movie portrays elegantly sophisticated grandma who by accident discovers a gigantic hole in the Danish law. The scene with the dancing horse is absolutely breathtaking, and the plot twist with the hidden agenda was daringly witty and well-executed. The film is marred only by a small misplaced scene depicting count Ingolf struggling for the throne of Denmark. Weird but beautiful, and the 15th century costumes are dazzling! The sky is the limit for young gifted director Henrik "Chewie" Normann who happens to bear an eerie resemblance to Italian president Berlusconi... I salute young Normann with this bold leap into the world of cinema!
