Sex & Nudity

- In an open-air market, racist man insults a Japanese woman, along with the usage of the "P" word.
- Woman's clothing reveals lots of her cleavage.
- There are women who are caged and are held against their will. One might assume, they are kept as sex slaves but it is never confirmed if they are or not.
- A passionate kiss between Hannibal Lecture (a young man) and an older woman his aunt.
- A man gets out of the tub with a towel around his waist. No nudity.
- A man forcefully, licks and kisses a woman's face but he gets interrupted.
Violence & Gore

- At night, Hannibal goes outside and throws stones at wolves that are chewing and biting dead bodies on the ground. They eventually scatter and run away.
- A few butchers are seen carving up animal parts with knives. Later on a fight breaks out in The fish market and Hannibal bashes two of the butchers with a mallet on the legs and arms before the fight is broken up.
- A severed head with a swastika carved into its forehead is impaled on a railing spike outside a police station.
- Hannibal cuts a man several times with a katana, before slicing off his head from a distance. We later see his head.
- A guy is given some injection to make him remember. (he is then put under the guillotine offscreen) Hannibal sees this a bit later in the scene and asks what's going on. When the police tell him, he waits until no one's looking and then takes the drugs to use on himself so he can remember the people that killed his sister.
- Hannibal ties a guy up to a tree, connects the rope to a horse and then moves the horse forward; the man's eyes turn bloody and eventually his eyeballs pop out (offscreen) spraying blood all over hannibals face.
- Hannibal knocks a guy out and then puts him into an air support lift like device and drops him into a water tank. He sprays him first and then later closes the tank up. The tank fills with water drowning the guy.
- Hannibal creates a diversion to try and kill another guy.
- He tortures very badly before killing the same man (after promising he'd make it quick) by biting his face and carving an 'M' on his chest.
- Hannibal goes to the last killer to collect his head (we don't see anything happen though).
- Hannibal stabs a man in the leg with a corkscrew, and then stabs a knife through the bottom of his neck, driving it through the top of his head. (blood pours out the mans mouth)

- A few F-words, and some other mild and derogatory language. Nothing too extreme since this is set several years back.

- The movie has a very dark tone and really is made for adult audiences.
- There are several disturbing scenes like, Hannibal torturing his victims before killing them by making them sing a song. They do quivering and Hannibal taunts he can't hear them.
- Hannibal while at a boys home has nightmares about his sister. When he makes noises in his sleep the orderlies take him and make him sleep in the basement.

Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- A group of Russian soldiers are brutally shot by a German plane flying towards them on the ground and killed Hannibal's father in the process as he attempts to run away. In the end the plane falls out of the sky and lands on a tank causing a large explosion.
- Men kill and then cook and then eat Hannibal's sister (we only see the men getting ready to kill her taking her outside, then flash to a cauldron with a man tasting the contents).
