Yearbook is a nice, little film.

It tells the story of an average high school senior named Edward. He isn't the most popular kid in the school and he isn't the nerdiest. He is, as many of us were, just average. His goal, to have a caption listed under his yearbook picture, is reachable but it doesn't stop the drama that rears its head in the process. Edward doesn't have, what we can call, "90210" problems. There are no issues that include drugs, date rape, murder, cheating, bullying. Just the yearbook problem. That's all. And that, believe it or not, is what makes this little film so refreshing.

I liked this film. I liked it a lot.

A Great MOVIE!

Caught this film at a local film festival, went in to check it out, it actually made me laugh out loud (and believe me NO FILMS at this festival were doing that, most of them made me cry for spending 10$ to see them)It's a story about a bump on a log named ED who is ready to graduate high school, but has nothing to show under his Yearbook picture, he's was completely useless in high school. He spends the rest of the film searching for something to show for his four years of high school, and after dealing with his friends with crazy suggestions, nutty "super cool" teachers, and an angry bitter coach who never returns videos on time, he realizes that there's more to his plight, he needs to prove to himself that he didn't just throw away 4 years of his life. The writer/director/ co star JJ Garvine was there to shake hands and answer questions, and mentioned a follow up starring Screech from SAVED BY THE BELL, I don't know what that'll be like, but after a funny, heart warming film like this, I'll be sure and check out his next film. I give "Yearbook" 5 stars.
