Tejaswini: A mixed Bag of Dr. Rajkumar's brilliance and Disappointments
Vashista-Bhat27 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Tejaswini is the third collaboration between Dr. Rajkumar and H. L. N. Simha after Bedara Kannappa and Abba Aa Hudugi. In Abba Aa Hudugi, Dr. Rajkumar was seen in an extended cameo. As usual I loved Dr. Rajkumar's acting. He has delivered an outstanding performance as Shivappa Nayaka.

Coming to the Technical Aspects, the Script of Tejaswini is based on the stort stort Holathi Kote written by Govinda Murthy Desai, and I liked it to some extent. I liked the Screenplay written by H. L. N. Simha to some extent, but did not like the idea of snakes being shown as the Supreme Deity which is not accepted by any cult within Hinduism. Yes, although snakes are worshipped, but definitely not as a Supreme Lord. I loved the narration pace as it is very fast, and also the Direction of H. L. N. Simha. I love all the songs of this album, and Yes, Tejaswini is an album with no bad songs. I loved the dialogues, which is very good, and the BGM of M. Venkataraju, which is very good.

I did not like the way in which characters are developed in Tejaswini. The character of Shivappa Nayaka does not have come in the 2nd Half. I did not like the fact that Dr. Rajkumar does not have much screen time in the 2nd Half. Editing is fine, and Cinematography of R. Sampath and B. Dorairaj is very good.

Tejaswini is a sort of a Film which can be termed as a very good film, from an Enthusiast point of view but as a fan it is sort of disappointing.

One more thing is that Dr. Rajkumar's hairstyle in this film is very good. I even loved the costumes that were designed for each and every character.

I would recommend people to watch Tejaswini as it is a very good film overall.

My Rating: 7/10 Verdict: Very Good.
