Gregorio Del Pilar was a man whose skill and strength can be compared to Alexander the Great and Edward the Black Prince. He was only in his early twenties when he took part in the Filipino Revolution. He defeated the Spanish in a number of battles and was promoted many times because of this.He loved his country so much that he was willing to give his life for it.He was still young those time. And when the Americans invaded,he defiantly fought them, despite the fact that they are invincible. He killed on of their high-ranking officers in a famous battle. But his last stand was Tirad Pass, also called the Philippine Thermopolae. In that place,he fought bravely, but in the end he died. This movie portrays it clearly his brave deeds, and it is an honor to watch it.

An OK movie...could have been done better

Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie a while back and was checking the internet if there was a DVD copy for this, but anyway, the idea of the movie itself was great, the historical events not as accurate, but the costumes were perfect. The actors playing the parts looked similar indeed to the original characters, but the acting was a different story. The movie seemed hurriedly done as in most cases with Philippine movies. The acting was mediocre, I expected more from a well known director. I hope they do another re-make of this movie because Gen. Gregorio del Pilar was one of my personal heroes. They can use better special effects for battle scenes and a more realistic and more dramatic effect at the final battle.
