This is a just fine show overall. A basic variety show that really didn't need to be one. The jokes are fine, the second set is better than the first, but the introductions of parodies, songs, music and physical comedy takes the show down a bit.

Amin Jensen gives a bit of everything on stage, talking about everything he can think of.

The show is a one-liner show with not much theming. There are jokes about family, birthdays, sex, kids and so on. This creates a fine enough set up to do whatever kind of jokes you want but leaves you with nothing really sticking as there are no red thread here. The jokes vary in quality, some land better than other and the second set is far better than the first here. The show opens strong then get´s a bit stale only to come back in the second set then ending on an unfocused music number.

The music feels so out of place here. The audience doesn't seem engaged at all with them and I wasn't either. The songs aren't funny and just feels like a way to sell this as a variety show. Same could be said about the parodies that lands only sometimes and the physical comedy isn't really that funny either. The ending is just a instrumental performance and it feels SO out of place.

It feels like the show takes a lot from other acts going on at the time. Taking mannerisms that doesn't really fit Amin, just because his peers around him made it work. The styles of comediennes are so integral to them and deeply rooted in what you expect so when another comedian tries to pull off what others do it just doesn't work as affectively.

The audience really doesn't seem engaged in the show. The cameramen show the audience now and then and they really don't seem like they want to be there really. This makes you think about what you are watching, and the immersion and engagement falls a bit.

This show seeks the edge a bit too many times with jokes that just feels offensive more than funny. It seems too much and it´s one of those instances where the jokes really don't land because it feels like it´s seeking the edge just cause. If you seek the edge then you better have some incredible jokes there or want to really want to say something profound, otherwise stay away. Joke about, religion, suicide, death etc. Really is a slippery slope, especially when it´s thrown in there nonchalantly.

A lot of the jokes here are overweight jokes. They work and land because Amin plays of it, but it gets a bit one noted at times.

This was a fun enough show, but it has some stale elements and the variety show part really just needs to not be here. I laughed and had a good time though.
