complete garbage

This is just a collection of junk. Various clips of police confrontations that end up coming to climax by use of force. I really couldn't sit through the whole thing because of how ridiculously biased it was. Most of what I saw was actually a bunch of cases where the use of force could have easily been justified IF you knew the whole story. The way this film is edited is atrocious. You never really hear any of the facts of the cases. Most of the scenes are video from helicopter, with the commentary coming from the same two guys for EVERY scene. One is playing the chopper reporter and the other as if he is coming from the studio of a local news station somewhere. They go back and forth with their speculations of what is going on (most of which you can't really tell due to the distance of the shots) over a constant annoying helicopter sound. The go on and on about how awful these cops are treating the suspects, even though what I saw fit into most police use of force continuums. I don't want to get into any type of political stance here, of course there are good cops and there are bad cops. But when you see something that is such a blatant piece of anti police propaganda, it is going to provoke a stance. Aside from my complete disagreement on the skewed views of the film, it is just plain trash anyway. The same two guys for every scene (which occur all over the country), the constant drone of the helicopter noise, the goofy commentary, and the 1980 Betamax quality video just make this entire debacle unbearable. I feel sorry for you if you decide to watch this.

Mysterious

The title is appropriate: it is like "COPS", only really bad. If you search "cops" in Netflix (as many people do) you get this as the first result (since the cops series is not available on stream, and this puzzling stuff is). That's the only reason it got 100+ reviews on Netflix, and an unanimous 1 star. Most people say they were unable to watch for more than 5 minutes.

So the question is not how much this stinks, but where the heck it came from. It looks like something done by two random nameless dudes with $100 equipment (no credits given). I wonder how they collected the footage. I doubt that they did research to find out scenes of police confrontation: they probably took it from another video, maybe changed the order and inserted their voices.

More to the point, did they ever distribute it? Has any rental ever carried it? Was it ever shown on a local TV channel? Are the "Bad Movie" sites ever going to review it? And HOW IN THE WORLD DID IT FIND ITS WAY INTO NETFLIX?

So Bad It Must Be Seen
theans0916 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
The program consists of 2 idiots that are "supposedly"? helicopter pilots however there are scenes where the camera is right in front of a house and they still have that chopper sound behind them. I guess the helicopter was out of gas? Also I wonder if some of these incidents are filmed by the studio cause the opening scene is a white guy running into a random backyard that just happens to have 5 cops. How did those cops know that he was going to be there?

Also they praise an Army tank for not killing anyone (Even though he caused over 500,000 in damages), and how a guy in an SUV is defending himself from cops by driving straight toward them. (Cause he's trying to avoid getting beaten by cops). Then they show a building on fire and then, just a car on fire. In case your wondering; There is some footage from Worlds Wildest Police Videos and Banned From Television (The Tank One, The Motorcyclist that hits a car). If you don't care to watch this BS, Then just watch Banned From Television as they have actual footage of bad cops (There's one where a cop drives over a criminal)

Getting back to these 2 dudes, What are they supposed to be? Are they news people talking about a chase? In that case, They should have been guiding the police to help take down the criminals.

If that's not bad enough, There's a segment where civilians beat up a guy. How is that Bad Cops?

It would have to be a lot better than it is to be considered trash!

Beavis & Butthead pretend to have a social conscience. Two clowns viewing arrest footage from a helicopter pretending to be "in the know." From their standpoint, anything less than a rolling out of a red carpet for the criminals depicted in this footage is police brutality rivaling the atrocities of the Holocaust.

Car is still moving and they tell you that the bad boy was giving up and ask why he's being dragged out of the car and placed on the ground.

Idiots abound but it's not often we get to hear two of them who have the ability to make a film like this.

As summarized: This would have to get a whole lot better before one could call it CRAP!

Mostly aerial helicopter footage
RothmanMax18 May 2018
In stark contrast to the law-enforcement heroes highlighted on "C.O.P.S.," the law-breaking police officers featured in this shocking collection of clips don't think twice about unnecessary roughness. Capturing beatings, assaults, wrongful shootings and more, Bad Cops catches the bad apples who overstep their authority and dispense vigilante justice instead of following their "protect and serve" creed.

Other reviews seems to dwell on the fact that the rough handling shown by cops is not as rough as purported to be. But they seem to forget that the cops are supposed to just make an arrest not beat someone into a pulp before making an arrest. These reviewers themselves need to get a feel of getting a beat-down from the cops to understand what they are really saying.
