I still think about this series

I must have only been 7 when I watched this, and it really affected me.

One day a young scruffy "common" young girl (Rosie) turns up on the doorstep of a wealthy family (the Setons) with a letter for Mrs Seton, the contents of which relate to a tragic incident in the family's past.

I was lucky enough to find a copy of the book "The Cuckoo Sister" by Vivien Alcock in a charity shop, and I was pleased to find the series was a faithful adaptation of the story. (My copy has a picture of cast members Joanna Joseph and Shelley Measures on the front - they were so well-cast - wearing quality eighties clothing)

I wish this would be repeated!
