A Fantastic Film!

A fantastic film that left me speechless and glued to my seat while the closing credits ran. Bravo to the Director - a truly magnificent short film.

The wide shots of upstate New York as a backdrop to the tense yet sophomoric flirtation between the two main characters underscores the universality of this film's overall message.

Keep an eye on both the director and the woman who played Zadie. They have both the skills and depth to be real players in the industry.

I highly recommend this film!

I would also recommend the 2000 short entitled Brothers, it has an uncanny resemblance in directorial style and in its cinematography to Screw.

The best short I've seen in this year's film festivals

I lost my breath in the last scene. Without being conscious of it the filmmaker trapped me in lusty love story and then with one grand plot twist took the air of out of my lungs with a dramatic blow. Great storytelling, and a great story. Anyone who has a chance to see this one needs to check it out. It seems a simple story about an old woman and her son. When a salesgirl comes around their farm selling some kind of products the son falls hard in love. We believe we are then to be taken delicately on a simple love story, but slowly we come to understand that the salesgirl is a con artist looking for a big catch. I won't tell you what she walks away because it would ruin the best scene in the movie. Check it out.
