Hep Stars performed 'Malaika' in an almost empty studio. This is the most popular song of Kenya in Swahili language (in English means 'Angel') and originally was recorded by the Fadhili William and his band Jambo Boys in Kenya (1960), then (among others) performed by Pete Seeger (1965), Miriam Makeba and Harry Belafontein (1975), Boney M (1981), Rocco Granata and Angelique Kidjo (2001).
As the 'Malaika' single of Hep Stars was released Spring 1967, not impossible this clip was filmed in those times (a kind of promo like 'Sunny girl' on coach verion) and spread into different countries, for example here into Die Drehscheibe.
Duration of the song itself 2:45, duration of the entire programme 41:23
