An human story
galouti23 January 2005
very well directed, beautiful picture, an authentic sense of poetic rapture. It found a way to avoid cliché when crossing the old subject of Jews in exile. It found a profound form in three part that are like a mind trip in very subtle variations. It has the ability to take us from the depth of Europe to the States crossing the middle east. It is a tale between regrets, illusion and lost dream, without ever being sad or pathetic, without ever trying to overwhelm the subject by going over the top. It keeps the right distance and knows well how to say this story. It is like an old song without being nostalgic, it's face its subject, always showing its truth. Boganim didn't avoid what she wanted to tell us. She is one of the most promising director in her field.
