A Bit Of Improvement, But Kinda The Same Thing
The Fairy Odd Parents: Shadow Showdown is the same thing as Breakin' Da Rules. I'll admit, it doesn't contain levels that feel like watching episodes. But this feels more like I was watching an entire episode of The Fairy Odd Parents. I'll just start and say the story can be predictable. As the title says "Shadow Showdown," we would know who the true villain of the game is gonna be. That and there can be some gameplay aspects that use elements from other games like Crash Bandicoot and Kingdom Hearts. The bosses are too easy to beat too. And even some of the graphics are kind of more suitable for a Gameboy game than a 3D platform game. Okay, there are criticism to give for the game. But that doesn't mean I say it's bad. In fact, it's pretty good on its own. The gameplay has improvements. The game has nice additions to a Fairy Off Parents game with collectibles and other features. The graphics are decent. And it does have likable charm from the show. Just like Breakin' Da Rules, I would mostly recommend this for the major Fairy Odd Parents fans. But other than that, I would recommend to play this at least once and treat this like an episode of The Fairy Odd Parents. It can have improvements from the game, it just needs more to truly make this something great.
