Leone meets Jim Jarmush and Becket
Jmaiap8 December 2005
I've seen this short at Rio de janeiro international Short film festival in 2005. Basically the movie is split in two parts, the part of the bums that are waiting for Godot (wich although is "Becketian" really resembles me of something Jim Jarmush would have done) and the part that deals (maybe for the firs time in history) with the Godot character. The director's choice to give a comical approach to Becket's famous play is interesting to say the least. Godot in this peace is a character coming directly from one of Leone's movie, this is works both as a homage and a satire but without ever getting ridiculous. They have the whole leone pack: a pretty female, zooms, a charismatic antagonist and dubbing! It's great! Godot is always late and due to go somewhere, many things stand on his way a duel at sunrise, a marriage, going to jail. The bums are always waiting for him.

That's pretty much it but the way it is done is simply genius! Great short!
