Slow-paced yet beautiful movie
mike5002 June 2009
A movie based very much on beautiful visuals, with little talking and few scenes that actually advance the plot. No action scenes whatsoever. It may sound boring, but i lost myself a bit in those images, a fact i also attribute to the mesmerizing actress Kyoka Suzuki. At no point did i want to fast-forward throughout this movie.

The vividness of this movie is also enhanced by the use of natural sound, with all the real background noises. Nothing was added or removed later by the sound department. This gives the scenes an authentic feel.

great movie about a killer

Warning: Spoilers
really good movie about a killer. the movie is very slow without any gangster-movie-like plot - except at the end. the killer guy needs to hide away after a job in a small town on an island far away from the city he lives in normally. he needs to fill his days which he does by going swimming and cooking his food himself. through his daily routine, he falls in love with a girl he meets along the way. another, younger girl falls in love with him but does not tell him. in the end, neither one will be lucky, since the younger girl gets jealous and does not bring the message from the guy to the other girl he is in love with. so, he leaves the island again to return to his hometown. this movie is very romantic, but still quite cool. it has lots of beautiful, slow shots and awesome colors.
