Death by Degrees
effecoco17 September 2007
Well, I was a fan of the video game series of Tekken, and often I loved to choose as fighter the Nina Williams character. So I was very surprised when was made a video game completely dedicated to her, "Death by Degrres", only for PS2. The good parts of the game are the several and powerful skills of Nina: many astounding kicks (high, round, etc.); a set of gorgeous and sexy outfits (but you have to complete at least one time the game at each level - easy, normal, hard and expert -, to unlock them, over all the wrestling outfit); her special lethal move, with a special video effect (a slow-motion similar to a X-ray vision); the possibility to fight with meléé weapons (swords, sticks, etc.), and fire-arms. At the end of the game at any level, many mini-games are unlocked. The negative points are the action, often interrupted by some trials as puzzles to solve, protected accesses to force with scanner, the continuous confirms to give even if Nina opens a door even if yet unlocked..., the complex way to move/fight/explore the environment at the same time when using Nina's avatar: you have to remember a lot of combinations to use properly the joy-pad...

A decent Story full of twists
phantomfox243 January 2008
This game was a decent spin off of the Tekken Series. It had a decent story and the graphics weren't too bad. The water effects may have sounded cheesy and at some times the camera may have become problematic but these were easily circumvented. the only other problem was the fighting mechanics but with practise you could master it. The story on the other hand was gripping with things you would love to quote as well as twists and turns. The characters were varied and complex. Death by Degrees also had more re playability than most games on the market including a sub-story. For anyone who likes the Tekken series, fighting games in general, this is a game for you.
