Splendid opening, odd plot. Some redeeming features

Four friends converge on a cottage for a weekend getaway in New Brunswick. Three think that it's going to be a relaxing getaway, but one knows otherwise. A plague has been sweeping the province causing people to lose their minds and bite people. While the zombies slowly take control of the province, the four men eventually realize what is amiss. Will they realize it too late? Will they be able to save themselves? Is the cottage a secure refuge from the crazy vampires, wolfmen, hobgoblins or crazed cannibals that have been ravaging the cities and countryside? Find out!

One or two interesting twists that make it worth watching. I'll give it a 7. point review(out of 5)

The Dead Should Remain Asleep.

Warning: Spoilers
The Waking Dead (2004): Dir: Jason Thabow Lofstrom / Cast: Mike Hatheway, Chuck Miller, Greg Leblanc, Jon Price, Mike Daigle: Forget the dead. Who's going to wake up the audience? The film is about as exciting as watching cars rust. Story regards four friends who travel to an isolated cabin in the woods of Taymouth, New Brunswick, and to make sure that everyone is aware that this sh*t is shot in New Brunswick, the cast is given many lines of stupid dialogue that indicates it. Maybe New Brunswick filmmakers are so desperate for attention that they need to spell it out in the lines within horror films so bad, only they could be proud of. They need a film with more promise than this garbage. Apparently the dead are walking about the province and one guy is spooked about an incident he heard regarding a hospital where the dead invaded and bit people. The dead are not seen until the conclusion but prior to that we are treated to boring conversations that involve drinking and frigging with the T.V. Director Jason Thabow Lofstrom draws too much attention to shots such as the arm extending a cigarette into view from a character that seems to be standing but on camera he is sitting. I have seen vacation slides by friends that contain more production value than this. The cast have all the talent of a pet rock and the production is about as fetching as an outdoor toilet. Score: 0 / 10
