Patrick Mahomes and Brock Purdy aren’t the only ones who are likely to be feeling intense pressure on Super Bowl Sunday.
Nate Burleson will be just as busy this weekend as the quarterbacks for the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. He is part of CBS’ “NFL Today” pre-game show. He will be helping to call the game for younger audiences as part of a Super Bowl simulcast on Nickelodeon, the kids-cable network that is, like CBS, owned by Paramount Global. And no matter how he fares in those programs, he must be ready to go again just hours later when he takes part in his regular job at “CBS Mornings.” After a full day of Sunday-night sportscasting, Burleson will have to be up and ready well before 4 a.m. Pacific Time.

His family confirmed the news on social media.
After back-to-back All-America seasons at the University of Illinois, Butkus was picked No. 3 overall by his hometown Chicago Bears in 1965. ‘Abbott Elementary’ Valentine’s Day Episode Woos Ratings Win Over CBS’ Super Bowl Commercial Special
ABC’s “Abbott Elementary” Valentine’s Day-themed episode was able to woo the 18-49 demographic on Wednesday, per Nielsen live plus same-day figures, in the mockumentary comedy’s first ratings win of the TV season. However, viewers still swooned over CBS’ Super Bowl Commercial Special, which had the highest average viewership of the night and was a close second to the Quinta Brunson-starring title’s demo win.
At 9 p.m., right after the early series premiere of the Gina Rodriguez dramedy “Not Dead Yet,” “Abbott Elementary” averaged a primetime night high with 0.56 in the demo. The episode, which saw Brunson’s Janine and Tyler James Williams’ Gregory inch closer to the highly anticipated romantic conclusion of their will-they-won’t-they arc, also netted 3.2 average million viewers overall. That was up by 50 from last week’s rerun installment last week.

NEW YORK -- Super Bowl-winning head coach Bill Cowher will join CBS' The NFL Today in the studio for the 2007-08 season.
Cowher quit the Pittsburgh Steelers this year after 15 seasons, citing family reasons, a year after he led the team to a win in the Super Bowl. He will join a team that includes James Brown, Dan Marino and Boomer Esaison.
"To have a coach that's been in the league as recently as Bill has, it gives us that great analysis," CBS Sports executive vp Tony Petiti said. "We haven't really had a coach in our lineup for some time. That perspective is really important to the fans of the game."
Cowher said he was looking forward to keeping his hand in the game while being able to be near his family, who live in Raleigh, N.C. Cowher has three daughters, the youngest a high school sophomore.
"This will give me the opportunity to still be a part of her life and at the same time be a part of something that's been a big part of my life, and that's the NFL," Cowher said Thursday.
"I can still be part of it but not have it consume your life," Cowher said, speaking on a conference call.
Cowher sent mixed signals as to how long he plans to stay away from coaching.
Initially, he said, "It's an opportunity to stay busy on Sundays and it may go beyond this year." Later in the call, he said, "I'm planning on doing this for a couple of years."
However, he would not officially commit to appearing beyond one season, saying, "It's an opportunity to remain a part of the NFL, and it may go a lot longer than that."
Cowher doesn't expect to have any problems critiquing or criticizing his former team, saying it would be no different from doing so along the sideline.
