Liddell vs. Horn the redemption of The Iceman
Maniac-92 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
It was 7 years prior that Chuck Liddell had his first loss ever to Jeremy Horn at UFC 19: Ultimate Young Guns. Since then Liddell has gone onto defeating some of the biggest names in the MMA game. List includes victories over a who's who list of fighters such as Jose "Pele" Landi-Jons, Randy "The Natural" Couture, Kevin Randleman, Murilo Bustamante, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, Amar Suloev, Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort, Guy Mezger and Alistair Overeem.

The long anticipated rematch between Liddell and Horn was talked about on MMA message boards for years, what would happen if they rematched. Finally the fight happened. The match wound up being highly in the favor of Chuck Liddell who kept the fight standing this time around, refusing to go to the ground and play Horn's game. And Liddell was able to successfully defend his title for the first time.

The co-main event featured 2 wrestlers both veterans of MMA and international wrestling competition. UFC Legend and former champion Randy Couture fought Mike Van Arsdale. Good and competitive fight with Couture winning via submission late in Round 3. First submission victory of Couture's career.

The show was kicked off with a dominating performance by Georges St. Pierre over highly ranked and former title contender Frank Trigg. Trigg who is top competition for basically any Welterweight in the world other then Matt Hughes and St. Pierre was toyed with here.

Diego Sanchez made his PPV debut defeating Brian Gassaway in impressive fashion.

The show also consisted of two highlight reel knockouts by Tim Sylvia and James Irvin.
