It's 1913 And They're Still Doing Simple Chase Comedies?
boblipton28 November 2018
Sarah Duhamel's boyfriend gives her a monkey -- that's not a euphemism -- which gets her fired from her job as a cook, presumably because the homeowner don't like monkeys, but mostly because otherwise this movie would have been too short. At her next job, they don't know about the monkey, which she has locked in a cabinet, so when the racket makes the folks open the cabinet, the monkey flees.... and everyone in the neighborhood runs after it.

I thought they had stopped making chase comedies this simple four years earlier. Clearly this one was intended to fill a hole in the schedule, so they used a couple of directors to shoot different parts, and Miss Duhamel, who was certainly a hard-working comedienne, appearing in three or four series regularly.
