René and Madame Edith are on their way to England, when they get there, they find an old friend waiting to greet them.
I really did enjoy this, it had a degree of originality, it must have been so hard to keep on coming up work fresh ideas, and not repeating things.
Earlier on in this series, I had moaned that it was feeling a little repetitive, I take that back here, into its seventh series, and still able to pull of a few surprises, this has been the best episode for a little while.
I always love seeing Madame Fanny in charge at The Cafe, she's such a tyrant, her singing was quite something. I absolutely loved the yodelling scene, that was wonderful.
Great to see René and Edith in England. Nice to see a young Harriet Thorpe, good here as Ethel. Wonderful to see the old friend back too.
Excellent, 9/10.
