Will Rusty get a new horse?
pensman8 July 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Komawi is trying to capture a wild horse suddenly four white men come riding in. The men offer gold to buy Apache horses but are refused; but they are given permission to travel across Apache land. The men never planned on buying horses, they just wanted an opportunity to get across Apache land to steal horses.

On the way to Komawi's village to get a horse for Rusty, Rip finds tracks that lead him to Bull Brande and his men. Bull Brande claims to have permission. The next day Komawi and his men are out trying to capture the horse Komawi was trying to capture earlier. This time Komawi succeeds but El Rey, the horse, escapes when Komawi tries to ride him.

Komawi and Rip find the tracks of Brande again and this time he has a herd of horses he is trying to get across the border. But El Rey shows up and does his best to turn the herd back to Indian land. Brande and his men capture El Rey but again he gets loose.

Rusty and Rinty come across the horse but El Rey gets caught in quicksand. Using his mount, Rusty is able to pull El Rey free. Rusty calls the horse King. Rusty follows El Rey to find the missing herd which is now at the border. Brande stops for the night and lets his horse loose to control the herd. Rip and Komawi catch up but can't do anything as the herd is over the border.

But El Rey challenges Brande's horse to see which will rule the herd. El Rey wins but when Brande tries to shoot the horse, Rinty brings him down. The horses in a frenzy turn and return to the American side but trample Brande as they return.

When everyone is back at Komawi's village, El Rey comes in and goes up to Rusty but Rusty says the horse is Komawi's.
