Mr. Hirschauer, a retired businessman, has been killed in his apartment in Munich.The Old Fox begins with the concierge, the newspapers delivery man and the teacher who have discovered the corpse of Mr. Hirschauer.But the Old Fox has to move to the mountains: there lives Anke Klaasen who has bought the hotel of Mr.Hirschauer by the viager system (paying a monthly rent till the death of the vendor) and Diether Hirschauer , a nephew of Mr. Hirschauer who works as ski instructor in the hotel.The Old Fox is thinking how could somebody travel from the mountain to Munich,kill the retiree and come back to the mountains and follow his normal life.I shall not more about this film.
It's really a crime story with excellents actors and actresses such as Cornelia Froboess, Eva Ingeborg Scholz,Charles Regnier,Bernd Herzsprung and Elmar Wepper.
