Harry Lauter: Will Davis

Quotes

  • Deputy Sheriff Lofty Craig : Been fired. Not too long ago.

Will Davis : That's right. I fired it at a rattler back a few miles.

    McAndrews : Three times?

Will Davis : Three times. Ever tried shooting a rattler sitting atop a spooked horse?

  • Will Davis : Did you ever hear of a bad luck Joe?

    Annie Oakley : Yes.

Will Davis : I'm one of them. You know when things go bad for a man, one bad thing after another seems to follow him. For instance, take the time I waited in line for four hours to try and get a job herding cattle for the Government. And, just as I got up to the table, you know what happened?

    Annie Oakley : No?

Will Davis : The man said there's no more jobs. Then I was punching for cattle for three months for a rancher. One day he rode out on the range, and said, Davis, I been foreclosed, I got no money. Well, I'll tell you about another job, four days' ride away from here. So I got on my horse and rode. For two days, and my horse went lame.

  • Will Davis : I told you once before you was wrong about me. You're gonna have to kill me to take me this time.

John Robbins : That won't be hard.
