Philip Sterling and Stanley Brock
kevinolzak31 May 2014
"The Spy" features Philip Sterling (third of six) as an out of work spy for the CIA, who believes the 12th Precinct is just a setup for a con job. Estelle Omens (first of two) plays a woman victimized by indecent exposure, from a man asking for directions to the Museum of Natural History ("I don't think he really wanted to know!"). When she takes one look at the mug book, she notices that they're just faces (Harris: "that's all we're allowed!"). Stanley Brock makes his third appearance as jewelry store owner Bruno Bender, who objects to a mime (Flip Reade) performing in front of his business, thinking it scares away customers. Harris makes his introduction to Barney, in full white face: "just some clown we picked up (laughing)- I've always wanted to say that Barn!"
