Chief Superintendent Brownlow is dragged back into a case he failed to solve twenty years ago, in which a stash of valuable jewellery was stolen, and never recovered.
Very good, interesting, well plotted episode. Great use of Brownlow, it's sometimes a little difficult to see him as a real Policeman, he's more like a politician, here it does actually feel that he's had a past, an imperfect one at that.
A very imaginative storyline, very well written and thought out, one you could easily see being made into a series.
Best of all had to be Derek's unimaginable joy at watching Brownlow's woes. Reg and his pebbles was an amusing story also.
9/10.
