The morning after, Eddie is trying to behave as if nothing has happened, that he still has a chance with Rosie Rosebud, she has a big decision to make.
First point to address, this is a very, very different show now, it's been given a refresh, new characters, new productions, definitely new stories, the focus now being more so on the characters, not the crimes.
Credit to Caroline Catz, she's made Rosie very believable, even the nickname Rosebud is demeaning, she is the victim, but is being made to feel like the criminal, it's very skilfully written.
Michael Higgs too, excellent, I wonder if when the casting was done for Poirot's Evil under the sun, if they looked at him, he clearly had all the attributes to play Patrick Redfearn. Eddie is one incredibly twisted, unhinged individual.
A cracking episode, I've given it a high score, as it does deliver, if I'm honest it did make me feel a little uncomfortable, not sure I'd want to watch it again in a hurry, 9/10.
