Boyden and Page are called to an explosion at a warehouse, where they discover an old lag buried under a pile of rubble.
This is such a curious episode, it feels like it was specially written as an almost new year's eve special, lots of bangs and fireworks.
It's definitely a strange episode, it doesn't feel like it has a beginning or real conclusion, it feels more like a snippet of a crime, but what was done was done well, I just wanted to learn more from the conclusion.
Timothy Bateson is wonderful here as the central villain, such a lovely actor with bags of charm and charisma, for me he's vest known for his role as Mr Jocelyn in Midsomer Murders.
A good watch, 8/10.
