Obnoxious loan shark Jeffrey Lettwin is at The Station for an identity parade, only his thugs have battered the witness the night before, and is refusing to attend.
Doing the wrong thing for the right seasons, it's a good old fashioned story of right and wrong, taking down a major league crook, in a slightly less than orthodox manner, the amount of ramifications associated with the actions of Meadows here make you wonder.
It is actually a really good story for Jack Meadows, he literally will do anything be can to put away someone nasty. The sprat to catch a mackerel scene was really rather good.
Steven Finch is terrific as Lettwin, he feels a little more like a character from the 1980's, his dress and attitude would have perhaps fitted in a little better there, however, he's effective, he's obnoxious and loathsome.
It's one of those episodes where you're wondering about the effectiveness of the justice system, 8/10.
