A Woman's Perspective
mitchrmp1 January 2013
This was another bad boy! Deception is always the worst part. We have it in this episode. When two friends rob a bank and kill the banker, one man is killed and the other arrested. Joey Hooker asks for his brother and assures the marshal that he never did anything like that before. At first, we believe Pete is good but that soon changes.

The episode is made even more intense because Nora is kidnapped in the hotel, held in a room for a trade off, and slapped around. This man ain't a gentleman in any sense of the word! Killing a woman is nothing to him. Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worst and Marshal Scott and Clay scramble for a solution when one's hard to find.

Three were killed, one injured in this episode.

The Deal

Warning: Spoilers
Written by Richard Levinson and William Link. There is no murder mystery here.

Joey Hooker (Paul Carr ) has been arrested by Marshal Gib Scott for bank robbery and murder.

His older brother Pete shows up in town protesting that Joey is innocent and must have been led astray.

He goes to see Clay Culhane for legal advice but Clay is not so positive.

When Pete spies Marshal getting very friendly with Nora. He decides to hold Nora captive until the Marshal releases his brother.

Nora discovers that both Pete and Joey were nasty pieces of work.

There was some laughable stuff. The Marshal accidentally killing Joey. The rescue plan was a bit daft. It was almost as if the writers were inexperienced at the time or just could not take it all seriously.
