Just take your wife to Miami, Dithers!!!
planktonrules16 June 2019
In "Mr. Dithers Moves In", you learn that Mr. Dithers is a major cheapskate and a lousy husband. How is this possible? Well, when their home is getting remodeled and painted, instead of taking his wife to Miami (which she REALLY wants), he arranges for the two of them to stay with the Bumsteads...which is odd since Mr. Dithers seems so annoyed whenever he's around Dagwood! But the problem is not just Mrs. Dithers...it seems that Mr. Dithers makes a nuisance of himself and the entire Bumstead household (including Daisy) want him to leave. What's next?

This is a mildly enjoyable episode of the series. Not among the best of them but a solid episode worth seeing.

The Folks Who Came to Dinner
JordanThomasHall1 November 2018
While at dinner with the Bumsteads, Mrs. Cora Dithers (Lela Bliss) hounds Mr. Dithers to redecorate their home. Mr. Woodley times popping in to sell Mr. Dithers on allowing him to do it at 15 percent off. Now Cora wants a pricy stay at Miami Beach, and pricier wardrobe to match, while the work is being done. Mr. Dithers is furious that Dagwood got him into the expensive endeavor and threatens to fire him if he can't solve it. Dagwood sees a chance to get closer to his boss and offers for them to stay at their home instead. Mr. Dithers gleefully accepts. The Dithers come with trunks of luggage and take Dagwood and Blondie's room. Blondie is comfortable on the couch while Dagwood tries to sleep on a short coffee table before moving to the bathtub. Cora quickly becomes snippy with Blondie and the children. Cookie and Alexander plot to be rid of the couple and puts pebbles from the bottom of the fish tank in the meatloaf only the Dithers are having. The couples switch meals, however. Blondie and Dagwood soon begin wishing the Dithers to leave but struggle finding a way.

This episode is alternatively titled "The Folks Who Came to Dinner" on the recently released complete series DVD set.
