Laura tells Trevor that his wife Mary has been seen with another man. Some insurance salesman called Reggie.
It seems she brought a lot of insurance policies with Reggie and he was seen loading some luggage for her on a train.
Howard wants his brother to have it out with Reggie. Only he is younger and fitter than Trevor.
So with Howard egging him on, Trevor goes for a showdown only to find that Reggie is taking out Laura.
Now Trevor persuades Howard to go one on one with Reggie. He even attempts to learn Judo from a textbook but Reggie is a black belt.
A hackneyed plot but both George Cole and Peter Bowles make the most of it. Like when Howard gets punched in the stomach by Trevor. Later when Howard pretends to be a gangster to frighten Reggie.
