Pirate Honour
Prismark106 April 2024
The crew of the Sultana take shore leave in Georgetown. Captain Dan Tempest tells his crew to stay out of trouble as Major Langley is back in charge, a man friendly with pirates.

At the market they come across a young boy selling a valuable trinket. A picture of his father. He needs money for food for his mother.

He is accused of theft. It turns out Major Langley has taken a special interest in the boy. Captain Tempest saves the boy.

He is Edwin Drewitt, his father was a sailor who once sailed with some valuable treasure and he was attacked by the pirate, Black Bart.

Captain Drewitt buried the treasure as he suspected he would be met by pirates. He was later killed by Black Bart.

The family knows where it was hidden as he had sent a letter to his wife. It is buried in Folly Island.

Major Langley wants to know the location. When Captain Tempest gets there, it turns out Black Bart is not far behind.

It is all very implausible. Everyone seems to get to Folly island in no time and without anyone else noticing.

I was surprised how quickly the crew of the Sultana dug such a big hole.
