"Out of Sight" opens with stubborn Ed Brown refusing to buy a pair of glasses, followed by several incidents that prove how badly he needs them. After giving out the wrong change to a female customer (Alma Beltran), he witnesses a collision on his street corner, the driver at fault his old friend Rudy (Rodolfo Hoyos). Officer Kirby (Bruce Kirby) takes down Ed's statement, before the witness learns that Rudy was responsible, after which he tries to change his testimony. Meanwhile the customer returns the next day to confess that she made a mistake, rewarded by a basket of kisses from hunky Chico, while Ed Brown's vision is soon revealed as farsighted. Bruce Kirby made a career out of playing cops, particularly on the long running COLUMBO.
