Eddie's grandfather Harry Madison (Will Greer, "The Waltons" grandfather) has come to visit. Harry tells Tom how much his only grandson means to him and how Eddie is what lives on of his daughter. He wants to take Eddie on a trip of a lifetime that he can always remember him by- an Amazon expedition guided by an archeologist friend. Tom nixes the plan and suggests Harry take him on an exciting adventure locally. Harry tells Eddie what he'd like to do anyway and adds that since he is older he knows better. Harry keeps interfering and overruling Tom's decisions. He influences Eddie to be the one he trusts the most now. Tom begins looking into Harry's intentions.
