Habeas corpus?

Second hand car dealer and serial adulterer George Robins has disappeared. His wife is contacted, and told that his cottage contains blood stains, local car thief Harold Barnes, is charged with his murder, but there is no body.

Very enjoyable, an intriguing mystery, one with some cracking characters, one in particular.

Is George Robins alive or dead? That seems to be the main question.

Tommy Godfrey, perhaps best known for his role in Love thy Neighbour, he was the highlight of this episode, and gives an absolutely first class performance, what a wonderful, characterful actor, so much fun, pushing even The Judge to the point of irritation, the trouble is, he perhaps takes over the whole thing.

You can once again see that it's a drama of its time, that shot that lingers on Gwen's chest, did they need to do that? Prosecuting council's eyes almost popped out, all it needed was Sid James.

8/10.
